nonjwspouse, I don't understand what you mean. Are you in a position to elaborate.

Anyhow, as it is quite a large amount, I found the people named in the German (http://www2.dastelefonbuch.de) phone book, which led me to believe that this might be true.

I called the number in the phone book and I said I was calling from the Michigan daily, and eventually mentioned details about this incident, and about the people named. There was no denial. Just some quick back tracking followed by a sudden hang up.

I am slightly intrigued. I know some people in Berlin, as the previous postings seem to refer and will ask them to investigate.

hi on the jw broadcast site they have about 5 days ago put up a special video about how people should fogive and if they dont they will become bitter.

do you think the watchtower know how many court cases around the world they have got coming up this coming year .

Has your name or reputation been maligned by the Witness gossip-mill?

as we all know, witnesses routinely share in gossiping, slandering or maligning the name and reputation of those who are "spiritually weak" or ones who "fade" or "stop associating".. they feel it is ok to speak badly of such ones who "have left jehovah's organization".. of course, some of the worst perpetrators of this are elders and their wives, who insidiously plant negative stories in the minds of all they interact with in the congregation.

they may never have actual facts, but since when do facts matter to witnesses?

however through such conduct they manage to separate people from one another, or cause rifts amongst former friends.. this sort of conduct is plainly inappropriate.. but what scriptures could be used if the opportunity arose to confront such ones about the way they have behaved?.

The car story reminds me of a time when I was new and naive. I was accussed of having too much head knowledge, so I thought, maybe its time I fixed this and started doing the opposite ie. pulling things out of my ar..

So once I suspected something was amiss, and for some strange reason some sister changed groups and wanted to join us in the car for revisits. The good thing these days is that almost every device is a sound recorder. After saying trying to find out something about me, unussuccessfully, I should add, I left the phone recording while my wife and I were on a visit. You should hear the things that those two were talking about and how many horrible things they were saying. Over the course of the following few weeks I made sure everyone got to know about what she said about them, indirectly, via a trusted gossip. Needless to say she couldn't figure out why she was ostracised for the next couple of years.

Oh and the ones that gossip the most are most defensive when they believe/think that you are talking about them (about personal interest, new car, new job etc).
